Here at Northeast we exist to help you find your people because we are better when we are connected to God and each other. We believe life is better surrounded by people who encourage, support, and challenge you to grow in your relationship with Christ. Groups are an opportunity for you to go deeper in your faith and to connect with others. No matter where you are or who you are, there's a group for you!

SUMMER SMALL GROUPS

JUNE - AUGUST


Summer Small Groups at Northeast are all about connection and community. Whether you’re looking to grow in your faith, meet new people, or just enjoy some fun activities with others, there’s a group for you. Our summer groups are short-term and low-pressure—designed to fit your rhythm during June, July, and August. From Bible studies and book clubs to basketball, hiking, and game nights, these groups are a great way to find your people and build real relationships. No matter your age or stage of life, this is your opportunity to stay connected, grow in community, and make the most of your summer.


Cup of Joy

 

Host: Sarah Ault

Demographic: Women, all ages

When: Tuesdays from 12:00–1:30 PM

Meeting Dates: June 3, June 17, July 1, July 15, July 22

 

Description: This women’s Bible study group meets on the back patio at Kuppa Joy to dive into Scripture and build real community. We’ll be walking through the book of Philippians and focusing on themes of joy, humility, and spiritual growth. If you're looking for a mid-day pause to reconnect with God and other women, this space is for you. Come as you are—Bible and coffee in hand.

 

The Golf Guys

 

Host: Jeff Ault

Demographic: Men, all ages

When: June 14 & July 19


Description: This group is for men who enjoy spending time on the golf course and are looking for a way to connect with others who share the same interest. Whether you play regularly or just enjoy the game for fun, we’ll plan a few outings over the summer to play, hang out, and talk life. It’s a great way to build relationships in a relaxed, encouraging environment.

 

Hoops & Hangs

 

Host: Jake Sandino

Demographic: Coed, all ages

When: Every other Sunday at 7 PM starting June 8


Description: This group meets biweekly for pick-up basketball games and real connection. It’s open to anyone who enjoys playing—even if you haven’t touched a ball in years. Come ready to shoot around, meet new people, and build relationships through friendly competition and shared time on the court. No experience necessary—just a willingness to play and have fun.

 

Kingdom Living

 

Host: Various Hosts

Demographic: Coed, Young Adults (ages 18–30)

When: Various days available


Description: This summer, there will be multiple small groups for young adults all going through the same study: John Stott’s LifeGuide Bible Study on the Sermon on the Mount. Each group will explore Jesus’ teachings on prayer, relationships, integrity, and spiritual maturity, with practical application for everyday life. Groups will meet on different days of the week to fit a variety of schedules. More information about specific group times and leaders will be released soon.

 

Married Couples

 

Host: Andrew & Blanca Keran

Demographic: Married couples, all ages

When: Once a month at 6:30 PM

Meeting Dates: June 5, June 21, July 19, and August 23


Description: This group is a space for married couples to connect with each other and with other couples in the church. We’ll meet once a month for intentional evenings that focus on building strong marriages, sharing real-life experiences, and encouraging each other along the journey. Whether you’ve been married 1 year or 40, you’ll find a warm and welcoming group of couples here.

 

Mommy & Me Crafts

 

Host: Sarai & Zemira Ferrer

Demographic: Moms and children (ages 5–12)

When: June 14 & July 19 from 10 AM–12 PM


Description: This creative group is designed for moms who want to spend intentional, meaningful time with their children while connecting with other moms. Each session includes hands-on crafts, thoughtful conversation, and a short spiritual focus that reminds us of how God has uniquely created each of us. Projects are fun and age-appropriate, and everything is designed to help moms and kids bond in a relaxed, joyful environment. 


*$15 per parent/child

Pickle-Bawlers

 

Host: Serene Vasquez & Jorge Dueñas

Demographic: Coed, all ages

When: Fridays at 6 PM starting June 6


Description: This is a fun, low-pressure group centered around the game of pickleball. Whether you’ve played before or are totally new, you’re welcome to come out, learn, play, and enjoy some friendly competition. We’ll rotate partners, build friendships, and spend time together on and off the court.

 

The Table

Demographic: Women, all ages

When: Fridays at 6:30 PM starting June 6


Description: The Table is a Friday night dinner group for women who are looking for intentional community and deeper connection. Each week we’ll gather around a shared potluck-style meal, bringing something to share and creating space to slow down and be present with one another. While our conversations are centered on friendship, this group also gently introduces sabbath rhythms—helping you end your week with rest, renewal, and time together that nourishes both body and soul.

 

Trail Blazers

 

Host: Tim & Gaby Becerra

Demographic: Coed, all ages

When: June 14 & July 12


Description: This group is for anyone who enjoys being outdoors and wants to connect with others through hiking. Whether you’re a seasoned hiker or just looking for a fun way to get moving, you’re invited to join us for two summer hikes filled with scenic trails, conversation, and community. We’ll take time to enjoy creation and build friendships along the way.

 

Visalia Connect

 

Host: Jessica Peña

Demographic: Coed, all ages

When: TBD


Description: This group is for anyone living in or near Visalia who wants to connect with others from church in the area. We’ll plan casual gatherings like meetups, meals, or hangouts that give people a chance to build friendships and stay engaged during the summer. If you’re looking for community closer to home, this group is for you.

 

Walking Club

 

Host: Sara Frauenheim

Demographic: Women, all ages

When: Every other Tuesday from 6:30–8:00 PM

Meeting Dates: June 10, June 24, July 8, & July 22


Description: Walking Club is for women who want to stay active while connecting with others. We’ll meet at local walking paths and enjoy light conversation while getting our steps in. It’s a low-key, uplifting way to care for your body and soul, and a great place to build friendships without pressure.

 

Women’s Game Night

 

Host: Donna Weisser & Michele Wagner

Demographic: Women, all ages

Description: This is a game night for women to relax, laugh, and have fun in community. Whether you love board games or just want to spend time with other women in a casual setting, this night is for you. Bring a snack, come as you are, and get ready for a great time.
